Open Day

Themed Free Dress

Once a term the Fundraising Committee chooses a ‘Free Dress Day’ theme and students are allowed to come dressed in either the theme or their school uniform. This is usually in the last week of term. The privilege costs $2 and all proceeds go to the School’s Mission Project which is ‘Khyaluchi Children’s Village’ in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Sausage Sizzles

Once a term and often on the same day as the Themed Free Dress Day, students are able to order and purchase a Sausage Sizzle/Drink/Ice-cream etc.  Funds raised from Sausage Sizzle sales are donated to a different charity every term. (chosen by the Fundraising Committee)

TCC has Talent

This is a talent show held at Thornlie Church of Christ some time in first Semester.  Entry is free for participants but the audience is charged to see the items being performed.  All funds raised from ticket purchases are donated to our School’s Mission Project, ‘Khyaluchi Children’s Village’ in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

All profit made from food and drinks sold on the night which also includes our Cup Cake Competition entries, go towards a different charity, chosen by the Fundraising Committee.

All these activities give the Fundraising Committee consisting of Yr 11s & 12s opportunity to learn many skills such as planning of an event, food preparation, public speaking, handling money and processing orders.

Parenting Insight Programs

The parenting seminars are evenings of discussion and opportunity to gain both knowledge and confidence in journeying with our young people through their life changing years. To understand a little of what to expect and how to move through what can be a scary period as a parent.

Other evenings will look at drug proofing our children, also opportunity to discuss relevant issues such as Fathering, Blended families and a Biblical perspective in these and other areas areas.

The Commencement Service

An important opportunity to define who we are and the significant emphasis we place on the spiritual Core Values of this College. To start the year clearly inviting the Lord’s presence and leading for the whole school.

Easter Service

One of the most important focus events in the Christian calendar. A time when as a school family we Thank Jesus for His amazing Love and Sacrifice.

Anzac Service – Term Two

A whole College assembly is held to celebrate and remember the ANZACs.  A very moving service with special guests from the wider community taking part along with students from the different areas of the College.
